Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of dropimg.io, including the website, upload API, and temporary share pages (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not upload images or use the Service.

1. The Service

DropIMG lets you upload a supported image and receive a temporary URL so you can share screenshots and similar files quickly. Key product rules:

• An account is optional. Anonymous uploads stay available.
• Free and anonymous images expire after the lifetime you choose at upload: 1 hour, 24 hours, or 7 days. Seven days is the default.
• DropIMG Pro can also choose 30 or 90 days, and can extend an existing link — but never beyond 90 days from the original upload. There is no permanent or unlimited storage.
• You may be able to delete an image earlier from the upload success screen or My drops.
• Accepted types include PNG, JPEG, WebP, and GIF. Anonymous/Free uploads are limited to 10 MB. Pro may upload up to 50 MB when that limit is enabled. SVG is not accepted.
• Share pages are temporary and marked so they should not appear in search engines.
• We do not guarantee that a link will stay available until its expiry if we have to remove it for abuse, security, or operational reasons.

We may change features, limits, or availability at any time as we operate and improve the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding agreement under applicable law. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

3. Your content and responsibilities

You retain whatever rights you have in images you upload. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display the image solely to operate the Service (including stripping certain metadata, generating a link, and deleting the file when expired or removed).

You represent and warrant that:

• You have the rights needed to upload and share the image.
• Your use complies with these Terms and applicable law.
• The image does not infringe others’ intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.

You are responsible for how you distribute share links and for keeping any image password private. A dropimg.io URL is a capability URL: anyone with the link can view an unprotected image while it is available. A password only helps if you do not share it. Do not use the Service for content that must remain confidential against link holders.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to upload, share, or facilitate:

• Illegal content under applicable law.
• Child sexual abuse material or any content that exploits or endangers minors.
• Malware, phishing lures, or other deceptive harmful payloads.
• Content that harasses, threatens, or incites violence.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Spam, bulk scraping abuse, or attempts to disrupt or overload the Service.
• Attempts to bypass rate limits, quotas, security controls, or access controls.

We may refuse, remove, rate-limit, or block uploads or access when we believe these rules are violated or the Service is at risk—with or without notice.

5. Copyright and infringement reports

If you believe content on dropimg.io infringes your copyright, report it via /abuse (choose the copyright option) or email abuse@dropimg.io with enough detail for us to locate the material (including the URL or slug) and respond. Because images are short-lived, include the link promptly.

6. Abuse reporting

Report illegal or abusive content at dropimg.io/abuse or abuse@dropimg.io. We may delete reported content and retain report details as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Subscriptions and billing

DropIMG Pro is a personal subscription. Current advertised pricing is $2.99 per month or $24.99 per year. Prices are shown before you pay. Billing is recurring until you cancel.

Checkout and tax handling are provided by Paddle, which is the merchant of record for the payment. Cancel from Manage billing on your account or the Paddle customer portal. If you cancel at period end, Pro stays available until that date. Immediate cancellation, where used (for example account deletion), ends the live subscription first.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy: cancel any time, no refund of a period already paid for, and your statutory rights — including the EU and UK 14-day right of withdrawal — are honoured. Paddle’s then-current buyer terms also apply, and where they give you more, they win.

Pro does not mean unlimited uploads, unlimited storage, permanent links, or team accounts. We may apply rate limits and abuse controls to every plan.

8. Temporary nature; no archival service

The Service is not a backup, CDN for permanent assets, or archive. Images may disappear at expiry, on deletion, after abuse action, outages, or operational changes. Do not rely on dropimg.io as the only copy of important files.

9. Intellectual property in the Service

The dropimg.io name, logos, website design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to copy or reuse our branding except as needed to legitimately link to or refer to the Service.

10. Third-party services

The Service runs on third-party infrastructure (including Cloudflare). Their availability and policies can affect the Service. Links to third parties are not endorsements.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

We do not warrant that links will remain secret, that metadata stripping removes all identifying information, or that deleted content cannot exist in someone else’s copies.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, dropimg.io AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (IF ANY) OR (B) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or others’ rights.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service (including specific IPs, links, or uploads) at any time for violations, risk, or operational reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time.

15. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of dropimg.io, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would require another jurisdiction’s laws. Courts in that operator’s home jurisdiction will have jurisdiction over disputes, except where prohibited by consumer-protection rules that give you mandatory rights elsewhere.
