What you get

  • A short public page for the image.

  • Automatic deletion when the lifetime you chose runs out.
  • PNG, JPEG, WebP, and GIF up to 25 MB, with metadata stripped when supported.

Upload an image, get a URL — without an account

Anonymous uploading is the default, not a trial. Signing in is optional: a free account keeps your last 10 active links in one place, and Drops Pro adds links up to 180 days, password protection, and browser extension and ShareX uploads.

Not a CDN or a gallery

dropimg.io Drops convert an image to a link for temporary sharing. There is no public gallery. If you need the file online indefinitely, use Web Assets.

Image to URL questions

Do I need an account to turn an image into a URL?

No. Uploading and sharing works without signing up. An optional free account keeps your last 10 active links together, and Drops Pro adds longer links and passwords.

How long will the image URL work?

As long as you chose before uploading: 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. Seven days is the default. Pro can keep a link online for up to 180 days from the original upload.

Is this permanent image hosting?

No. Every Drop URL expires and the file is deleted afterwards. It is built for temporary sharing, not permanent storage. Permanent application files belong in Web Assets.

What files can I convert to a URL?

PNG, JPEG, WebP, and GIF up to 25 MB. SVG is not accepted on Drops.
